Thomson's coaching camp begins

Australian fast bowling great Jeff Thomson kickstarted his coaching assignment as part of the KSCA-IDBI Life Insurance Bowling Foundation here at the M Chinnaswamy stadium on Monday.
Meanwhile, the IDBI picked two Karnataka pacers -- Ruchir Joshi and Shashank K -- for the IDBI - Frank Tyson Scholarship which has been instituted by the company.
Both bowlers, who represented Karnataka in the Cooch Behar Under-19 Inter State tournament this year, were recommended by the KSCA. The scholarship provides for Rs 2 lakh each per bowler per year, for two young players for their education and training. In December 2015, two other bowlers, Minad Manjrekar and Dhrumil Matkar from Mumbai were also awarded the scholarship.
