We have good chances of winning the overall title, says Johannson

It’s nice to come to Hyderabad for the second season with the Hyderabad Aces,” said Martina Hingis at a Champions Tennis League (CTL) press conference here on Friday. “I really hope we continue in the same fashion as we did in defeating the Chennai Warriors,” she said.
Thomas Johannson took it a step further. “The tennis was very tough and of a high level in Chennai. If we play in the same way, we have good chances of winning the overall title,” he said. Drawing a comparison with his playing days, he said the game had developed dramatically. It had become more physical. “I like the CTL format and the Hyderabad Aces team is quite good,” the Swede added. Ivo Karlovic, though terse, only underscored the point. “I believe we can go all the way,” the Croat said.
Adil Kalyanpur said watching the big guns in their routines and fitness training was an amazing experience.
Sathwika Sama said the CTL was a great opportunity to see these greats on and off the court and how dedicated they were.
On why Sweden isn’t a tennis superpower anymore, Johannson said there are no role models. “For instance followers of football have the enigmatic Zlatan Ibrahimovic to look up to. Also the good coaches are mostly overseas,” he added.
