‘Hope to win Chennai in two years’

Borna Coric has set his sights on winning the Chennai Open in two years’ time. The 19-year-old Croat will participate here for the second year in a row; he lost to champion Stan Wawrinka in in the second round last year.
“It was my first time in Chennai last year and I enjoyed it a lot. The tournament is very well organised, the crowd was amazing,” said Coric. “I had a tough second round against Stan Wawrinka, losing to him in straight sets. I would prefer to face him in the final this year.”
Starting the year ranked 95, the Croat reached a career high ranking of 33 in July, before closing out the year at 44. “My goal for 2016 is to stay healthy and in good shape. I want to win matches and live more amazing moments on the courts,” Coric said. “In the next two years, I would like to win the Chennai Open title.”
